INTRO TO ACRYLIC PAINTING: MINIMALIST WATERSCAPE

Join me on Zoom for an introductory acrylic painting class. We will go over the basics of color mixing, color theory, preparing a painting, layering, and create a minimalist landscape painting to have by the end of the class! 

Materials needed:

• Acrylic paints in a variety of colors 

• A cup of water

• A rag

• A variety of small and medium paintbrushes

• A wooden canvas at any size (if unavailable a traditional fabric canvas works)

• A mixing palette (anything from tinfoil, to an old plate, to a piece of glass)

• Pencil

• Optional: sand paper or sanding sponge

• Optional: candle 

• Optional: gesso

• Optional: tape

Beginning June 1st through the end of the month, the creative cohort will be in a group WhatsApp chat to stay connected, creating, and accountable. The May 28th Intro to Acrylic course is included with the cohort purchase. You DO NOT HAVE TO BE A PAINTER to join the cohort. Any and all creative expressions are welcome! I will share weekly prompts, simple tutorials, and resources to go deeper into the practice of making. You will be encouraged to share what you are creating, ask questions, and engage with others artwork. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to schedule one 15 minute art check in over zoom with me, where we can do anything from a formal critique of your work, to business coaching, to a mini social media audit. Any and all experience levels are welcome! The hope is that the community will encourage one another to be making in a healthy and holistic way!
